About
My Best Friend's Bowl

Hello! My name is Cheryl Harrison and I have often been referred to as “that crazy Chihuahua lady”. You see, somehow over the past five years, I have managed to “rescue” nine (yes, nine!) Chihuahuas and two cats. The adorable little guy you see in my photo is Baby Max.

People ask me how I wound up with nine Chihuahuas and I have to blame it all on one tiny little dog: Trixie Toes.

I had just moved in to my new home in my new town and was wandering through the local pet rescue thrift store when I happened to pass the pet adoption room. Standing at the baby gate, grinning from ear to ear and wagging her tail exuberantly was the most adorable little 4 pound black Chihuahua! As I reached down to pet her, I remarked to the lady manning the room "Well this little princess can't be up for adoption!" (Surely a tiny beautiful dog would have a loving home!) She replied that yes, indeed, she was looking for a new forever home. It took me about one tenth of a second to scoop her into my arms and say "Tell me more!"

Two hours later, I had completed all the paperwork and made an appointment to have my home visit!

And that was my introduction into the wonderful world of Chihuahuas. I had never met one before and had no clue as to how my life was about to change.

Trixie was such a delight that I just knew I had to have another to keep her company!

Enter Norman -- a gorgeous black long coat, ex-show dog, for whom I drove NINE HOURS to Oklahoma City to adopt.

His story is a heartbreaking one of loss and abuse but in spite of the fact that he doesn't want to be touched, he is now a happy, healthy boy who has taken over the house and rules us all. Actually, Norman doesn’t consider himself a dog so of COURSE it’s up to him to keep the "little critters" in line!

I was quite happy with my two little Chihuahuas when a client asked me if I would take her little one to save her from the torments of the family two year old boy. How could I say no? And what's another 3 pound dog? Enter Penny, the sweetest, best mannered, most docile, submissive little dog you could care to meet.

So! Now the family is up to three. Three's not bad. That doesn't make me a crazy dog lady. So how did I get to seven?!
I'm not really sure -- the last five were a kind of a blur, it all happened so fast.

There were calls from friends telling me about the "poor little dog" at the local pound, calls from the lady at the local rescue group, etc...one thing led to another and into my life came SweetPea, Harley, SugarPlum, Max, Teddy, Dolly and Rose.

(Also Louie and Honey, but they live at my mother's house so I don't have to count them!)

We have tiny Chihuahuas and big Chihuahuas, long coats and smooth coats, fat ones and skinny ones, black ones, white ones, red ones and brown ones. But except for Harley, who feels he has to pee on anything at his height, they are all well-behaved, friendly, and the joy of my being.

HOWEVER! Along with eight different personalities came eight different sets of health issues; some minor, some not so minor. And therein lies my introduction to Life’s Abundance pet foods.

My dear sweet SugarPlum was one of the prettiest long haired Chihuahuas you could ever hope to meet. She started with me as a foster child. But after being adopted several times, only to be returned, I said “No more!” and formalized our relationship. Seems no one wanted a beautiful little dog who suffered from occasional seizures; terrible oozing itching skin rashes; and chronic diarrhea!

Many trips to the vet office resulted in more and more drugs for the poor little dear, with very poor results. I scoured the web looking for clues and bought all kinds of “cures”. I could get one or two of her issues cleared up but never all three. FINALLY someone said “food allergy?” to me and a light bulb went off in my head. I took her off all wheat products and lo and behold – no more seizures! No more rash! And even the diarrhea lessened a bit.

Then I was introduced to Life’s Abundance Premium pet food. I read everything I could find about the food and Dr. Bicks, the product formulator. I compared their ingredients to the label on my pet food. It all seemed to make sense.

  • Human quality ingredients.
  • Produced in small batches to insure freshness.
  • No chemicals.
  • No by-products.

I broke down and ordered a free sample. (I’m SUCH a risk taker!)

Well, to keep a long story from getting any longer, SugarPlum was free from all three afflictions and was such a happy little girl that I  made it my personal mission to spread the word about this wonderful product. Now, everyone in the house is on Life’s Abundance pet food and all are happy and healthy.

But don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself and see what kind of results you get with your own pets. I’ll bet you won’t be disappointed. And please write to me and tell me about your experiences with our products!

See what one of our distributors has to say:

What I find so amazing is that no one introduced us to this awesome Trilogy business. Because our cat of 14 years decided to stop eating her food, we Googled "healthy pet food" and found a website that blew us away. We have been involved with many network marketing companies, so we knew that the concept was good. After watching the 15 minute video about the history of pet food, we absolutely knew that this company and their products were for us. We signed up on Christmas Day 2006 and ordered a bag of cat food. Our Patches loved it!! We shared this news with our friends in Muskegon, who were also devoted pet lovers. They signed on in mid-January 2007 and we had 3 customers - our son and 2 friends. Our total group sales for our first month was $500. We were thrilled. No other network marketing company had every given us this much possibility. So I could see the end of my corporate JOB. In February, we ran out of food, didn't judge the autoship right, so while waiting for the food to come, we gave our precious cat some soft food of another brand.  Four days later, she was dead from kidney and liver failure. Of course, we were devastated, but didn't realize it was the food until the following month. We continued to press through our business and began signing up more and more reps and getting more and more customers, especially after the BIG food recall. We started doing shows, sending out postcards, calling on vets, groomers, and breeders, putting advertisements in pet magazines, listening to conference calls, etc. Every month we have watched our business grow and have met some wonderful people who have become friends. Yes, it does seem slow at times, people you talk to are procrastinators, and some won't even listen. Our family were the first to roll their eyes at us and now we have 2 family members as reps and 4 others who are customers. In fact, my sister has 2 goldens and has been on the food for 6 months now and just ordered EVERYTHING for her dogs - vitamins, treats, shampoo, etc. Now we are in our 10th month. We have 54 reps and well over 200 customers for our total group with total sales for August over $11,000.00. We are totally amazed and thank God for this awesome business. Just keep in mind, you must have PATIENCE and STAMINA to keep on going. This is NOT a get rich business scheme. It is a REAL business with REAL people who care. Note this fact: "Success is the ability to embrace a worthwhile goal and then employ all of your powers for the achievement of that goal." So don't give up.
